Beewax Wraps: How to care for your Beeswax Wraps

Anyone else falling in love with Beeswax Wraps lately? Oh my goodness not only is the smell to die for, but it is a fun and easy way decrease your carbon footprint! I recently stumbled up at the Bee Kind Wraps and instantly I knew I neeeeeeded them....and to obviously share the wealth with all of you. Since they have been added to the Marketplace for a couple weeks, I am finding one of the most common questions is  "how do I  wash/care for my beewax wraps", so I figured it was time to do up a quick little blog giving all you lovelies a better explanation on how to care for your Beeswax Wraps. Now I am no expert so if you still have some questions feel free to head directly to the source!(I have linked their site above).

1. Cold Water is a MUST

In order to get the longest use out of your wraps be sure to always use cold water when you are wash your wraps. Depending what you have used the wrap on, you can also just use a damp cloth and wipe it down, or add a mild detergent to cold water to rinse it in. Then all you have to do is hang it or lay flat on your dish rack to dry!

2. Leftovers

Just as you don't want to rinse your wraps under hot water, you also don't want to wrap any hot foods in your wraps either. Unfortunately, wax is not heat resistant and will melt or start to peel off of the cotton if the food is too hot, so be sure to let your food cool before wrapping it up.

3. Storage

These are just as easy to store as your replaced plastic wrap. Leave them out on the counter in a cute basket or throw them into a drawer/cupboard. Again, just be sure they are in a spot that doesn't get to hot.

I absolutely loooooove this brand of wraps, they are so easy to work with and the quality is top notch! We currently carry their square 3-pc sets in the Marketplace with a (small, medium, and large), allowing them to work great for a variety of different items. So don't be afraid to get a little adventurous, there are a ton of different ways to make use of this product. Be sure to #getsprucd so I am able to see all your fun and creative ways to use them in your household!
